Boater Safety at Lake of the Ozarks
With the Summer season officially kicked off we at Osage Beach Fire Protection District would like to extend a warm welcome to new and returning visitors. As always we want to encourage everyone to enjoy their time here at our lake but we also want you to be safe. Here are some boater safety tips to help answer questions.
- Always designate a sober driver
- Always indicate if you have a passenger in the water so nearby boats are aware to steer clear for people they may not see
- Plan your route and know where and how you got there in case of an emergency
- At the Lake of the Ozarks if you can find a nearby dock and give the address to 911 dispatchers emergency crews will be able to find you quicker in the event of an emergency

Welcome to the Lake of the Ozarks!
