FINAL APRIL PUBLIC INPUT FORUM
THURSDAY, APRIL 28TH at 5:00PM
FIRE STATION NO. 1 – 1170 BLUFF DRIVE OSAGE BEACH
The Osage Beach Fire Protection District has held three public forums to date and will hold its final forum
on Thursday, April 28th.
We hold these forums to gather public input for the purpose of developing plans
for future fire and emergency service delivery. Additionally, the District continues to seek input via a
Resident Satisfaction Survey that can be found on their website at obfire.com .
The public’s perspective is very important for us to learn the priorities and expectations of our community
regarding fire and emergency services.
Preliminary results of the Resident Satisfaction Survey:
• Of survey respondents who have received service from OBFPD in the past three years, 82%
indicated they received excellent or very good service, while 18% indicated receiving average or
poor service.
• Regarding response time, respondents’ expectation ranged from 5 to 12 minutes, with 50% of
respondents’ expectation being between 5 and 8 minutes and 50% being between 8 and 12
minutes.
• When asked whether they would support an increase in property tax, to maintain or increase
services the District provides, 71% responded “No”.
• When asked whether they would support a sales tax to maintain or increase emergency services
the District provides, which also reduces their property tax, 67% replied yes.
We invite the media and public to attend the final public forum on Thursday, April 28, at 5:00 PM at
1170 Bluff Drive.
Additionally, we encourage District residents to complete the Resident Satisfaction
Survey at obfire.com
