Osage Beach Fire Seeking Public Input Regarding August 2nd Ballot Issue
Osage Beach, MO – The Osage Beach Fire Protection District will seek public input to determine support and to guide details of an August 2nd ballot issue necessary to maintain our current level of service.
Each Thursday evening in April, we invite the public to Fire Station No. 1, in Osage Beach to provide input on the level and method of revenue increase we will ask the voters to support in August. At those meetings, we will discuss the current operational situation, request input on preferences of maintaining or increasing services, and we will discuss options and seek input regarding a sales tax that would reduce the current property levy obligation by 50% of the revenue received from the sales tax versus an increase to current property levy.
We invite the public as well as members of the media to attend the following public forums:
• Thursday, April 7, 5:00 PM
• Thursday, April 14, 5:00 PM
• Thursday, April 21, 5:00 PM
• Thursday, April 28, 5:00 PM
Location – 1170 Bluff Drive, Osage Beach, Missouri
